He was raised in a Christian family from Ogwugwu village in Enugwu-Agidi town of Anambra State, Nigeria. He completed his secondary education at F.G.C. Kwali, Abuja, in 1991, and later earned a diploma in Banking and Finance along with a BSc in Philosophy from the University of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
